Questions
Frequently asked questions
The questions that come up most often, from platform reviewers and from people who find this site through the Receitaria Curiosa brand.
About the application
Can I sign up and use PolyglotMedia?
No. There is no sign-up, no paid plan and no public version. It is an internal tool built by Kinn Media for its own publishing operation, and it runs on one machine inside the company.
Is there a web app to log into?
Not a public one. The panel is served locally on the operator's own computer and is not reachable from the internet. This website is the application's public documentation, not the application itself.
Is it available as a service for other creators?
No. Publishing on behalf of third parties would mean handling other people's account credentials and content, which the application is deliberately not built to do.
What platform is it built on?
A Python desktop application: Django for the local panel, Celery and Redis for background work, and FFmpeg for all video processing. It uses the machine's GPU for encoding when one is available.
About the content
Who produces the videos?
Kinn Media. Recipes are filmed by the company's own team in Portuguese; every published version derives from that original recording.
Is any content reposted from other creators?
No. The application has no download, scrape or repost capability. The only file it can publish is one the operator uploaded from their own machine.
Are the voices real people?
The five dubbed languages use synthetic voices. The original Portuguese narration is recorded by a person and is never replaced.
How many videos are published per day?
One recording per day, fanned out across the brand's channels. On TikTok specifically that is a single post per day.
About permissions and data
Which permissions does the application request?
The minimum needed to publish: permission to post a video, plus basic account identification so the video reaches the correct profile. Nothing related to analytics, messages, comments or other users' content.
Does it store passwords?
Never. Sign-in happens on the platform's own page. The application only receives the authorisation code the platform returns afterwards.
Where are credentials kept?
Encrypted with AES-256 in a database on the operator's machine. Nothing is stored on a server, because there is no server.
How is access revoked?
From the platform's own connected-applications screen, at any time and without contacting us. Revocation takes effect immediately and the application loses the ability to publish.
Does this website use cookies?
No. These pages are static, carry no analytics or tracking, and set nothing in the browser.
